Ms. Haydon

Welcome to Room 104!

My name is Meg Haydon. I have taught in Wayland since 1993. I have taught for 24 years in Kindergarten and for 3 years in first grade at Claypit Hill. I live in Sudbury with my husband, 3 sons, my dogs Riley and Finn, and my cat Bryce. Before coming to Wayland I taught for several years as a preschool, Kindergarten, and first grade teacher in both regular and special education classrooms. I enjoy going to Maine with my family. I also enjoy running and find it's a great way to start my day. Kendall Barnett works as the Teaching Assistant with me. Kendall enjoys reading and being absorbed in a good book. Some of her favorite books growing up were The Phantom Tollbooth and the Harry Potter series. She enjoys taking walks with her dog, Apple. She loves to travel. Her life goal is to travel all of the 7 continents.

My main goal is to meet the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual abilities of every child in accordance with their individual abilities and to challenge them through many experiences and activities. I strive to provide an appropriately balanced program.
